Being in chains

2 Minutes Daily Writing no. 17.

I put myself in chains last night,
To hurt my feelings, my body and my memories;
My brain was overthinking every little mistake.

Every event, every word, every touch
Has been poisoned by me.

I was in denial,
I was treating myself like a victim.

I put myself in handcuffs last night,
The masochist-I, wanted more,
Knew that I deserved so much more!
This torture and more and more…

But you were there in the end.
Alive, loving like always and peaceful.
So I wake up and felt you by my side.

I chained myself thousands of times
And you… You saved me from me
Every-single-time.
